Questions & Answers

Ask a Question
  • Do you send out the SDS and certification of analysis, as well as dye strength when you order batch certified?

Not automatically, however they are all available with request.  For dye strength, we'll update our websites to show that information so you know in advance.

  • Will there work in bath bombs for vibrant colors ? Also wondering which is best the liquid dye or the powder ?

Yes, they would.  I think if I was making a bomb I might start with the powder.  If I was making a salt I'd use the liquid.  It is just a matter of ease of use.  Powders are always more cost effective than liquids.

  • Could this be used for hair? obviously mixed with the correct ingrediants?

Hair dyes are typically not just a dye but also a chemical reaction to set the color into the hair, but for semi-permanent dyes, we are not sure about that.   We sell "lake" dyes which are dyes that have been made less intense by mixing with a white powder. The reason for this is it is easier to handle and measure. But they are also less dye intense, say 30% dye versus a 90% dye that a "pure" dye would be.   We suspect, and this is just a guess, you are searching for pure dyes.    Visit Pylam Dyes and see what they offer in the way of pure dyes and also ask them about the semi permanent hair dye, they are more specialists in this that we are.
