It's a nice color, but it's not even remotely red in nail polish. Comes out a coppery chocolate color.
A slightly darker version of "Black Amethyst Mica". When I received the package I honestly thought they sent me the "BAM" color twice. Not in anyway a 'red' color and should be called "Blackstar Purple." Still, a very beautiful and well pigmented color just not at all what I wanted since I was expecting a really dark, shimmering wine color and it was way too similar to "BAM" for comfort.
for both black and white skin! Used as a wonderful all round eyeshadow on my african dark skinned friend. And as an yeliner and in the crease for mt green eyes and very light skin for at smokey effect.
Its fantastic around green and brown eyes.
I saw a great idea from Kaila on the forum and tried it out. Mix the blackstars with the sparks. My favorite was the blackstar red, with the red sparks. I have used it for a contour color, as well as wet for a liner. Looks like a new years eve color..kinda disco ball-ish
This is a deep rich pigment.Beautiful dark red liner. Mix with a little finger polish for that vampire nails!
I had worn a light layer of Smokey XXX shadow one day - I was getting ready to go dancing that night, and decided to use Blackstar Red right from the package for a liner and in the crease -- quick and sexy.
Once again TKB doesn't disappoint with their Blackstar line.
The picture doesn't do justice but I don't know that any picture could. It is a brilliant shade. More purple than the image lets on. Very gorgeous.
This is truly a beautiful colour, but NOT for CP soap! It turned brown :(
