WAY brighter than it looks in the picture!
It's been my experience that uv yellows are traditionally very reactive. This yellow however, is not. It does give off a faint glow under blacklight, but it's a very muddy mustardy color, even after layering. I wouldn't suggest this pigment for anyone counting on it's fluorescence under blacklight.
Ya, I went ahead & got the sample & it doesn't seem to really give a glow at all :( Now, that flourescent yolk yellow on the other hand- wow!!
I love this in cp soap!
I notice that some pigments are approved for eyes in EU but not US. is this just laws passed in the US, or is it specifically not safe for the eyes. I don't plan on selling, just for my own use :) TKB Responds: The US gov't lists what is approved. Just like a drug might be used elsewhere, if it is not approved here in the US it can't be used. The cosmetics industry can work with the ingredients that are approved so I think they don't go through the expense and hassle of getting things through the approval process.
This is nice & bright in CP soap with no bleeding.
