This product must be stored in a "pot" and is too soft for a stick.
If you would like to turn this buttery balm into a more liquid one, the type that would go into a lip wand, we suggest you melt together approximately 7 grams of balm to 10 grams of castor oil, then color and flavor as you wish. If you require a more liquidy recipe, simply increase the amount of castor oil.
Ingredients: Castor Seed Oil, Cetyl Stearyl Alcohol, Olive Fruit Oil, Beeswax, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Glycine Soybean Lipids, Lauryl Laurate, Carnauba Wax, Candillia Wax.

This is great, no guess work in making your own gloss! Perfect place to start! Makes the lips soft and moisturized.
So great if you think you'll make a mess making your own lip balm from scratch! The formula is soft and moisturizing to my lips and has not "weird" odor like I notice with other ready made bases. I took off one star only because I do prefer a vegan version but if that is not an issue with you, go for it and buy this product!
I'm so glad this is available since I'm so very bad at making lipstick base. It's so easy to make lipstick with this - I just add my flavor oil and colarant and I'm good to go. Thanks!
Great for beginners, simply melt add color and you have a moisturizing lip balm, or gloss.
This is great stuff, but it isn't vegan and that's been a huge problem on the all-natural market.
I love this as well, when I got it in U was so excited. Will definitely order more.
I use this base to create lipgloss. It is so creamy and smooth, and it is easy to turn this into a lipgloss! I highly recommend this for making easy lipglosses!!
I've been testing this for six months now. The recipe I make is pretty close to this one and head to head, the costs are the same. As Kristnia said, to make it into a gloss for a tube you can add Castor oil. I've also added squalane with good results. Of course the prepped lip colorants with oil in them are a good choice for color. I will often start with one and move on from there with micas. A pot with a lip brush is perfect for these, as well as tins. I do add flavor, but no sweetener. Recent accepted studies show artificial sweeteners can make you desire more sweet food, and my hips are big enough, thank you. My kids will even use this. Just when no one's looking because it's too girly, but it's helped tons with chapping. My youngest gets his face wet in the winter and it turns red and chaps. I add some allantoin and rub it on his chapped face at night. It's always better the next day. I do not use flavors when I use it on him this way, nor color. The smell is simple and clean on it's own for people who do not want added scent.
When i got this, it was solid, but as soon as it warmed to room temperature it is a liquid..... i dont like it, its not what i expected and i am not happy at all with it. even when i re-melt it it STILL stays a liquid. it has the consistancy of lip gloss and can be put into a lip gloss tube with wand... but i prefer the versagel over this. sorry guys, this is the one time i dont like tkb.
TKB Responds: We have had two people report this problem this week, so we must have stumbled on a bad batch. We've been selling this base for years with no similar reports. I'll look into it to see if we can figure out the issue and resolve.
I made my first lipstick with this today, using one of TKB's micas and some lip balm tunes I had lying around. On my first try, I got the perfect colour for me! I can't wait to wear it to my first Irish dance performance!
