Black oxide blended with mica and bismuth oxychloride
  • Ingredients: Mica (77019), Bismuth Oxychloride (77163), Iron Oxide (77499), Iron Oxide (77492).

  • Our Soft pigments are pigments which are pre-blended with mica and bismuth oxychloride. The resulting product is much, much easier to blend into your cosmetic formula. In fact, you do not need to use any type of shearing mixer (such as a blender), but instead may simply shake the colors together with the base ingredients.

Instead of soft black this should be called charcoal grey. I like this color though as I prefer to use more neutrals and sometimes don't want an intense black.

The black mica is preferable, unless you only want a very faint amount of black in your product. This is, indeed, a soft mica, but it's TOO soft, and it basically rubs down to grey, no matter what you do with it. Good for a slight change in color, but it really is more grey than black.
