When you rub the powder between your fingers, you will note that it is exceptionally soft and smooth (thanks to the silica). You will also see the whiteness disappear as it bursts into a bright, shiny fuchsia red/pink glow.
If you rub the powder across a piece of white paper with black background and tilt the paper, you will see a subtle shift from red into coppers and golds. This is the color-shift in action.
Mars is excellent in nail polishes and lip products, as well as any kind of translucent cosmetic such as clear soap, shampoo, or bath gel.
Here are the guidelines for "best use":
◦*Use the color alone or in with small amounts of dark colors such as blue, black or green
◦*Use in transparent, translucent or semi-opaque formulas (for example: lip gloss, not lip stick)
◦*Mix it gently (avoid grinding it in a mortar and pestle or blender)
◦*Package in transparent packaging to show off the color shifting

I love love looooove this particular mica from the planetary collection. It does magical things to other micas and I couldn't live without it. It is also just beautiful on it's own. It is sheer, but has this gorgeous pink reflective quality to it.
This is simply beautiful.. Get the sample, but you'll wish you had more once you start using it!
Try mixing this with equal parts Oriental beige:) I am really loving this mica color ALOT. There are so many possibilities! Try mixing this in with some Black Mica to create a wonderful, sexy eyeliner!! This is a must have in my book!
My favorite of the planet micas. Just beautiful.
I can no distinguish the color shift, when they say subtle- they mean REALLY SUBTLE. Like unnoticeable, and I was LOOKING for it. The travel to colors are pretty and useful, but I can't tell the difference between these and the hilites so I can not find any reason to justify the higher price.
