I purchased the Shea Butter soap, and I LOVE IT. My husband especially loves it, because he says it gets his hand VERY clean. It actually washed away most of the stains on his hands from working one day. I use this on myself, and my children. I made pink and purple soaps for my girls, and blue and green for my boys. It makes their skin so soft, that I didn't need to put lotion on them. I do use this, but I alternate between the Luscious Lather soap and this one, because I can't decide which one I like more:) I wouldn't hesitate to buy this soap, as it is easy to melt, and color. When you are going to melt it down and pour in a mold, I would advise you to have all of your material out before you melt. You do have a pretty good window of time to color it, and pout a mold, but it does get hard fast...It actually goes back to being hard faster than my lippies do. Also, be careful that you don't overheat this-It melts very fast. Try it for yourself, even if you aren't going to color it and mold it. It is easy to cut off a piece to use. Put some in the bathroom, at the kitchen sink, and in the shower, and you will not be disappointed!
I've tried MANY soaps by many different companies and I have to say this is, bar none, the best, most moisturizing soap that I've ever tried. I use it on my face and after I'm done my face feels so moist I have to think twice about applying moisturizer (but I'm 55 and live in Colorado so I do)...I wish they made a lotion to go with it!
I made it with swirled grape pop and a jasmine fragrance yesterday. I added a suds booster, but I hardly needed it. I just have a preference for foamy goodness in my shower. If I can see you over the suds, it's a dud. This soap is amazing. It lathered great before I added the extra suds, but it took those suds happily and the scent. It's not just the scent itself. I've been playing with Melt and Pour for years and some of them toss scent away like it was never there. This seems to be holding fine. I'd like to test it long term, but I only made two bars and they are almost gone. Everyone is washing their hands so much around here, it's funny. The grape pop mica looks very pretty swirled into the soap. Even after repeated abuses by dirt covered kids. Thank you, TKB. I think I've found a wonderful soap. BTW, it's not drying and I don't feel oily at all. Nice balance.
